Hotel Le Grimaldi by Happyculture

Nice hotel, within walking distance from city center and promenade. On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable (we have asked for twin beds and that’s exactly what we got. Very rarely the hotels accommodate that request). The room was extremely quiet and facing the inner backyard, allowing a quiet and peaceful sleep. Nice decoration.

This is an amazing hotel, full of character and charm, with lots of small touches which adds to the experience. From the moment we walked in to leave our bags until the room was ready, the staff offered us free coffee and water in a comfortable lobby. The hotel is located just a couple of blocks back from the seafront, close to the tram stop, straight to the airport. Something else that stood out was just how friendly and efficient the staff are. They seem to all enjoy their jobs and genuinely care about their customers. The bed was really comfortable and the room tastefully decorated. Breakfast was varied with a good range of fresh food, most of which is organic. A big thumbs up from us. We hope to return again sometime.

The location was great in many ways - quiet street, short walk from tram (direct from airport), 5 mins from train station to get to the sandy beach other side of port, lots of nearby restaurants, 10mins to beach. The facilities were excellent for the price - room a good size, toiletries good, free tea, coffee, water whenever you wanted. Staff were all lovely.

The staff and facilities are well thought out. The lobby had umbrellas for guests to use. The doors had draught exlcuders to stop cold air getting in the rooms. Complimentary coffee and water was offered throughout the hotel. You could provide details online beforehand to expedite check in. The hotel also called me before arrival to make sure my details were correct and whether I required any additional services. We arrived early and left our luggage next to the reception. When we came back later, they had already moved our luggage into our room. It was a great experience.

Excellent value for the money in the off-season; the price was almost too good to be true! Great location, excellent breakfast, nice room with a bohemian style, very clean, wifi worked fine, good quality coffee and tea in the room along with a kettle and a fridge.
